I am a member of Navy Federal (NFCU)(and USAA) . They are a very good institutions and serve the Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads Navy and military very good. But..................

Their RealtyPlus is not the best thing you can do to maximize your buying power in Virginia Beach or Hampton Roads. To be quite truthful, the Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads Veterans Ibate Program (VIP) significantly exceeds Navy Federals RealtyPlus product with much more flexibility. Please read the above link if considering a Virginia Beach or Hampton Roads mortgage with Navy Federal (NFCU).

Things you should know to help:

You can use their real estate mortgage service if you like. Many of my clients have chosen their 100% loan program.

You do not have to "sign-up" for the RealtyPlus program to obtain a Navy Federal (NFCU) mortgage. Navy Federal will most likely ask if you are working with a REALTOR®.

Always shop your mortgage for the best rate and terms (remember terms).
